Posted almost 2 years ago by Ann Sheets

Hello Fellow Perianesthesia Nurses,

On behalf of RIAPAN’s board of directors, I would like to wish all our members and followers a very happy Perianesthesia Nurse Awareness Week.

Thank you all for the work you do and the difference you make in the lives of our patients and families. Thank you for your dedication to our specialty practice of PeriAnesthesia Nursing!

RIAPAN’s board appreciates your ongoing support.  Your passion to elevate perianesthesia practice  through education, commitment and hard work do not go unnoticed! Your professionalism and practice is an inspiration to us all.
Everyday you play a vital role and make a difference in your patients and families lives. Daily, you are are someone’s  “Hero.”

As important as our commitment is to our patients, we also have a commitment to each other.

On a daily basis, we walk amongst each other and must embrace a shared purpose. We must  work together with trust and mutual respect across all disciplines and departments.
Relationships permeate every aspect of healthcare. We as professionals are responsible to each other and have the ability to recognize each other’s strengths and individual contributions. We are responsible to create a culture of caring, respect and trust.
We can be the example for all future nurses!

I wish you a wonderful week together! Take a minute to give your colleagues a thank you for all they do!

“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom.” -Earl Shoaf
