Peri Anesthesia Nurse Awareness Week February 7-13, 2022

Greetings RIAPAN Members,
The Rhode Island Peri Anesthesia Nurses Association would like to commend you and recognize the awesome job that you do each day as a Perianesthesia nurse. This year, Peri Anesthesia Nurse Awareness Week (PANAW) will be celebrated by nurses in our specialty practice throughout the country the week of February 7-13, 2022.
The American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), The American Board of Peri Anesthesia Nurse Certification (ABPANC), The Rhode Island Association of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (RIAPAN) along with other local components from all over the United States, will recognize and honors PeriAnesthesia nurses across the country.
PANAW is an opportunity to educate nursing colleagues and the community about the professionalism and passionate care that is delivered by Perianesthesia nurses every day. Plan to Celebrate at Your Hospital or Place of Work - Form a team to help with celebration ideas. Announcements in employee publications, PANAW posters/products, individually wrapped cookies or candy, and ASPAN promotion literature. RIAPAN would love to see how you celebrate Perianesthesia nurses in your unit or hospital. Send us your photos!
As RIAPAN President, I would personally like to thank each of you for your dedicated service over these past two difficult years! As Perianesthesia Nurses, you have certainly gone above and beyond. Most importantly, I ask you to take care of each other. Turn to each other not only during PANAW week but every day and say thank you! Care and support each other for what you do on a daily basis. Honor each other for the great specialty nurses you are!
